JUJU WILSON

It would be easier to say what JuJu CAN’T DO – but we’ll give you a good idea of what she incredibly fits into her life. Mother of six, prolific painter, tour guide, much sought after cultural advisor, absolute “professor material” in bush tucker, bush medicines, author of booklets on these subjects, makes appearances on Television re the above, didgeridoo maker and player, authority on rock art, sacred sites, speaks five dialects fluently.
JuJu was educated at Beagle Bay – born Mantinea Flats – she is of Mirriuwong/Gadgerong group and her aboriginal name is Burriwee – but to everyone she is just “JuJu”.

We are proud to have her art and artefacts on offer in our Gallery – we have one painting from her maternal grandmother (Sheba), paintings from her mother Freda (a prolific painter and teacher of art), and JuJu’s daughter Regan – four generations of very talented ladies. AND JUST LOOK AT THAT SMILE!
