Abie Loy Kemarre is a 37 year old (Born 1972) Artist from the Utopia are of Australia which is located around 250 km’s north-east of Alice Springs in Central Australia, Northern Territory. Abie belongs to the Anmatyerr clan group. Abie’s grandmother is one of Australia’s most famous Aboriginal Artists, Kathleen Petyarre.

 

Abie’s paintings often depict sandhills as well as her surrounding country as well as body painting. She also holds the custodial rights to the Bush hen dreaming.

 

Abie’s paintings are both beautiful and powerful and she is amongst the finest next generation of Aboriginal Artists.
